Small Groups
Do you enjoy crocheting and knitting?! Join our Crochet group on Thursdays at 4:30! Maybe you enjoy reading. We have Book Club lead by Susan Dietz sjdietz@att.net, they meet monthly for an open discussion on the novel of choice! Contact Susan to be added.
Finally, our Prayer ministry meets every night to pray for you. Find the link on our home page!
Children's Ministries
*Due to COVID-19 we are not having in person Sunday School. Each week our children's minister sends out lessons to do at home. If you would like to be added to the list, please contact the church office (stonemountainumc@gmail.com)
Sunday School
Sunday School for all ages happens on Sunday mornings at 9:45 am. We have two classes to choose from, The Wesleyian Group choose a variety of different studies from various authors, and they also use the daily devotional from the Upper Room. The Fidelis Class chooses a topical study each quarter. This topical study makes the Bible applicable to real world situations. There is a place for you! .
Youth
We are currently exploring new ways to get youth back involved with the church. We are invested in the future of children. Our vision is to be a place where youth are free to laugh, grow, and feel safe to ask the important questions about God and faith! We practice Safe Sanctuary! Your child will never be alone and will always have two unrelated adult chaperones to ensure safety!
Our goal is to develop a youth group and plan fun, educational, and helpful activities!
Mission
Mission is where we really shine! Every month has a mission focus from clothing and blanket drives to quarterly meals for Action Ministries to giving the residents at Branan Towers, a United Methodist low-income retirement home, the only Christmas presents they'll likely receive. We also host a community barbecue for the Stone Mountain community four times a year! Be sure to check the home page for daily updates.
Music and Arts
Creating music together is one way we come closer to our Creator. We have a sanctuary choir. Contact the church office for more information on the rehearsal times we would love to add your voice and talent!
